Stand-up Paddleboard Yoga
Teacher Training


Since ancient times, humans have naturally gravitated to the water for its healing and transformational properties. Many ancient cultures believed that the water element was crucial to balancing the body and finding physical harmony. Today, many of us still flock to the water, especially in the summer, to find clarity and to calm the mind. Even when we are not near a beach or a lake, we take long showers or warm baths to relax and find ease, in the mind and body. It makes sense that teaching yoga on the water is becoming more popular, especially among women since water embodies the feminine. It also characterizes downward, inward energy. Fluid in nature, the water element helps us return to peace and center at the end of a cycle. It's also a symbol for stillness and conservation.

Stand-Up Paddleboard Yoga Teacher Training (SUP YTT) with Christine Malmborg combines the best of a Yoga Teacher Training program, SUP skills training, plus the experience of a paddleboard yoga professional for the best SUP YTT program available in Southern Colorado. The training is provided on premier, GLIDE Lotus hardboards - the absolute best for SUP Yoga. This training will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to confidently take your students, and practice, off the mat and onto the lake in a fun, inclusive and safe way.

​Founder - Christine Malmborg - is a Yoga Instructor of 16 years and a SUP Yoga Instructor of 10 years. She is an Educational Yoga Instructor accredited by the Yoga Alliance and is a Certified Paddleboard Instructor with the American Canoe Association (ACA) and the Professional Stand-up Paddleboard Association (PSUPA). Christine will teach you how to adapt your practice and your teaching to the water, while keeping safety at the forefront. She is passionate about helping aspiring instructors find their path in teaching different modalities. Christine creates a supportive environment where trainees may be themselves, be confident and explore their love of teaching.

THE PROGRAM
We offer this training as a one-on-one program or, as a group program with a max of six participants to ensure an optimal and personalized learning environment.

One-on-One Program
Day 1 - 3 hours
Day 2 - 5 hours (incls 30 min lunch)
Day 3 - 5 hours (incls 30 min lunch)
Day 4 - 2 hours

Duration: 15 hours (not including time taken for lunches)

Group Program
Day 1 - 7:30am - 2:00pm (6 hrs + 30 mins for lunch)
Day 2 -
7:30am - 2:00pm (6 hrs + 30 mins for lunch)
Day 3 - 
8:00am - 1:00pm (5 hrs)

Course Prerequisites:
  • 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certification (YA membership not required)
  • 1 year consistent yoga teaching experience
  • Confident swimmer
  • Current CPR and First Aide Certification
    (Resources: National CPR Foundaion, Springs CPR Training)

How to Enroll:
* Complete Online Application
* Provide copies of your certificates for your 200hr YTT and CPR/1st Aide.
* Pay a $200 Non-Refundable Deposit (Email [email protected] for details.). Full payment is due if enrolling <2 weeks before the program's start date.
